Antonio Sevilla

Director Human Resources
Anadarko Mozambique - (pending final confirmation)

Antonio P. Sevilla has over 20 years of experience working for multinational oil and gas, petrochemicals, and software companies; most of these years have been spent in human resources management working in both managerial and staff positions in U.S. domestic and international locations.

Early in his career, Mr. Sevilla was recognized for his public speaking abilities.  He was twice granted the Outstanding Speaker Award by Conoco Inc. for his outreach efforts to the community, addressing topics relevant to the oil & gas industry.

In 1992, he was appointed by the Governor of Wyoming, the Honorable Michael Sullivan, to the State Rehabilitation Advisory Council, whose goal is to further the employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

In 2004, he became the first human resource professional to be appointed to the advisory board for the international conference on Health Care & Trauma at Remote Locations (HECTRA); HECTRA’s goal is to further the practice of front-line medicine in disease ridden, climatically hostile, impoverished and/or remote locations across all industries.

From 2012 to 2016, he led the largest social project ever undertaken by Anadarko Petroleum Corporation—the establishment of a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering at the University of Eduardo Mondlane in Maputo Mozambique.  With about sixty (60) participants, it is now the largest post-graduate program in Mozambique and graduated its first class of students in May 2016.

At present, he is the Director of Human Resources for Anadarko Mozambique LNG, managing all human capital activities for the largest project in the history of the African continent.

Having worked in over 20 countries on five continents, he is well versed in global human resources matters, as well as social investment projects.  Mr. Sevilla received his Masters in Business Administration from Texas A&M University and Bachelor of Science in Management from UNO.

He presently resides in Maputo, Mozambique, with his wife, Carolina.
